[ And he waits for the pin. Waits... and waits... and... there it is! Excellent. He supposes he has to get out of bed now and get dressed to go meet her. ]
[ He doesn't even entertain that with a reply. Next she'll end up calling him Nanamin too, at this rate.
But in 30 minutes, he'll be at the restaurant. Dressed in his usual suit and looking oddly put together for a man this hungover. The sunglasses help, tbh.
When he spots her, he'll head straight to the table and sit down across from her and that's when it becomes obvious just how hungover he is. He moves to take off the sunglasses but then winces at the bright light before just putting them back on. His voice is a little rough when he asks — ]
[His sorry-for-the-hangover date has packed away the more anachronistic pieces of her wardrobe today in favor of simple dark jeans, a nice sweater, and a dark blue hanten. She is also insufferably upright, bright eyed and unphased by the light. She doesn't even have that vaguely dehydrated husk cast to her skin. Just Youko, hair pulled up edition.
She greets him with a laugh and a grin, and by leaning across the table to hand him an empty glass.]
I ordered the mandu, but I thought I'd leave you to convince the server you can take that much spice. Do you like pear juice?
[ Well, she looks pretty, is what she does and that's the thought going through Nanami's mind as he settles in. Along with some mild resentment that she's fine and he's not. What the hell, they're supposed to be friends(?).
But he nods when she offers him the pear juice, waiting to be served some and then drinking down the entire glass in a few seconds flat. He's definitely a dehydrated husk if she isn't. Please. Help him. Someone. ]
[Watching him — ostensibly the walking dead — throw back the pear juice as well as he throws back liquor gets a soft, "Whoa," out of her before she is refilling his cup. Poor dehydrated husk in the shape of her friend(?). Luckily for Nanami, she likes him. She doesn't want to be resented, so she'll share the wealth.
Before the server can make it back to their table and be convinced of his ability to take as much spice as they can dish, Youko reaches into the pocket of her coat, fishes out a blue-green jewel roughly the size of a ping-pong ball, and reaches across the table to push it gently into Nanami's hand. She pantomimes gripping it.]
Try that, it should help.
[The regalia of Kei is a great hangover cure. It gets so pleasantly warm and cures poison.]
[ He's not expecting her to interrupt him, hesitating with his arm in the air before lowering it and looking at the jewel she just pushed into his hand. There's a narrow-eyed look at it and her but he watches her gesture and mimics it, gripping the jewel in his hand for a moment.
And work it does, he immediately feels the wash of relief over his body and has to blink a few times as the nausea and headache disappears instantly along with the general feeling of being unwell.
... Huh.
He'll set the jewel down and slide it back over to her when he's done, taking another sip of the pear juice but this time, just a sip. He's not feeling nearly as much of a dehydrated husk as he was a moment ago. ]
That's a bit of a cheat, isn't it? But I do feel better so, thank you.
[She takes the jewel back with a pleased smile, slipping it back into her pocket, and then settles with her arms crossed on the tabletop, hidden fully in the soft sleeves.
She watches Nanami take just a little more pear juice, but just the littlest sip, proof of the Hekisoujo's efficacy. A secret worth sharing if he's feeling better. She laughs merrily at his little protest, and fixes him with a daring look.]
You're welcome, but if you have something against my methods, we can see what they have in the way of drinks to undo that? Let you go through the usual process?

But I will stop with the disappointment for now.

in return for not being deeply disappointed in me, i'll send you the address for your owed galbitang.
[There's a couple minutes of dead air before she seems to figure out dropping a pin.]

But I will take that address.
[ And he waits for the pin. Waits... and waits... and... there it is! Excellent. He supposes he has to get out of bed now and get dressed to go meet her. ]
Give me 30 minutes.

Fine. I'll convince them. I'm starving.
[ And now he's waving down a server. ]
